We will start a trial this week of allowing guildies who cannot make normal raid nights to PuG Firelands bosses, with 3 conditions.
1. You may only PuG those bosses which the guild has already killed in that raid lockout period. This information can be found in the Guild news section.
2. You may only PuG 10 man FL raids to keep us in the correct guild ranking category on various ranking sites. 25 man pugging is still restricted to non-current content.
3. You can still sign up for guild raid nights, but in the event that you wish to join a main guild raid and your role is oversubscribed, you will accept a reduced priority of selection if you have been pugging that week.
The reason for the above rule change trial is to give everyone a chance to see these encounters in Firelands without compromising the integrity of the Main Guild Raids. Anyone pugging FL raids who is found to have breached the above rules will face sanctions and possible guild exclusion. If you are about to join a FL raid and aren't sure whether or not you will be breaching the rules, then you should not join the PuG until you have checked with an officer or another guildie. Experience has shown us that failure to set ground rules when allowing Guildies to PuG current content has negative results for the Main Guild Progression.
We will be preparing some guidelines on starting your own FL PuGs soon. In addition to the above rules Old n Wise enjoys a reputation as a well behaved and well mannered mature guild. We aim to keep it that way which is why in the past we have taken action against members for childish and offensive behaviour in trade and other areas. This reputation is what will be under consideration when members decide to begin their own FL PuGs under the rules.
If at any point this trial is deemed to be unsuccessful we will end it with immediate effect, notifying guildies both on the forum and in the MotD.
Please use the Raid thread for any discussion on this topic.
Cheers
